Yes, This is a great way to do it. My brother and I both have the play disc of fallout 3 and we split the cost of the add ons so it only really cost us 15 bucks each with all 5 addons. Good Luck and Happy wandering!!

How do I get Fallout 3: GOTY Disc 2 to work?
It takes about ten minutes for it to realize that Disc 2 is in the drive, then the AutoPlay pops up and I try to run the program but when I click on it, it says, Not Responding! Can anyone help? Thanks.How do I get Fallout 3: GOTY Disc 2 to work?
A: the disk might just be faulty
B: if the disk is scratched or damaged you can take it to a video rental shop and have them clean it for a couple buck
C: your computer's disk drive isn't compatible with that disk (I.E. your putting a DVD disk into a CD drive.)

It honestly depends on which style of game you enjoy more. It would be similar to me asking the question which movie genre do you like better: Action or Romance? They are two different movie genres and depending on your preferences every answer will vary.
Likewise, Fallout 3 and Gears of War 2 are in two different genres, and depending on if you enjoy one genre over another will depend on your answer.
If you enjoy free roaming environments that do not force you to play the game in a particular way and enjoy spending thirty hours are more in a game, then Fallout 3 is better for you.
If you enjoy a game that is short and sweet and is a fast paced action game but has extended online multiplayer modes, then Gears of War 2 is better for you.
That being said both are very well designed and excellent games. If you are a fan of no particular genre but simply of well designed games that are amazing in there own right, then I highly suggest you purchase both.

Mmmm Gears of War is Basically a Massacer, ive never played GOW 2 but ive played 1, it was awesome, not much like halo tho, different gameplay (much better), and Fallout 3 is you playing as a guy in the future where the world as we know it is destroyed and flipped upside down and you have to find your way in it.

i think fallout 3 is better, but its NOT a standard shooter, theres very heavy rpg overtones, if youre not used to that sort of thing, or if youre just not into it, then avoid fallout. its not SO rpg as to be turn-based, but everything is based on stats and odds and things like that.
Gears of War 2; Fallout 3 the walking is all funky and stuff as if they haven't paid much attention but the killing is pretty legit

How come FallOut New Vegas is taking 2 days to upload to STEAM?
Hi, Im just wondering why my new Fall Out New Vegas game, has been uploading to StEAM for the last 2 days. I have had to leave my computer running non stop, hoping it will be done by the time im home from work tonight. Has this happened to anyone else???How come FallOut New Vegas is taking 2 days to upload to STEAM?
I am not missing out in gaming. I quit gaming 6 years ago and now I dirt bike and play paintball and I spend time with my family now. Gamers are missing out on the real fun!How come FallOut New Vegas is taking 2 days to upload to STEAM?
Upload steam? What are you talking about? You mean load up steam? Steam loads up when the normal game is run. If it is taking forever to load up, chances are you may have a nice virus on your computer. Either that or some corrupt files in FNV directories. Have you tried reinstalling the game? Have you recently run a virus scan on your computer with a credible virus scan program? (AVAST, Norton, etc). 2 days is rediculous. It is also possible that your game froze (Fallout New Vegas has a lot of bugs). If it froze, simply ctr-alt-delete and then start up the task manager and find fallout new vegas in the list and choose to "end process". Once you've done this, try restarting the game. Note: If you want steam to work, you have to have an internet connection. Is your internet working?
