Fallout 3 is really a great game. It gets off to a slow start but as you go along having such a huge wold to travel around in is really great. The thing is that no two players go through fallout the same way because it's such a long and expansive game.
Fable (I have the first one) is more of a directed story line... you end up doing the same thing a everyone else. This is not to say that you can't customize your character.
Both are great games, You might want to try changing the difficulty level in Fallout 3 first before you decide on anything. (Start-Settings-gameplay - difficulty) Fallout is definitely more customizable but if you find it slow and boring Fable tends to be a faster paced game because of its more directed story line and it's harder to get lost.
Fable s generally a little less graphic a well and a lot less to do with guns...more with swords and close combat weapons.Should I trade in fallout 3 for fable 2?
While I like Fallout 3 a lot more, it might be because I really liked the bleak Capital Wasteland. If you wan a less depressing game, Fable II is funny, and colorful. You could probably get some fun out of it, plus, DLC is coming to Fable II, which should add some replay value.
Take a look at some Fable II videos, and see if you'd enjoy it. If you're not having fun with Fallout, then definitely trade it in. No point in playing a game you don't enjoy. :pShould I trade in fallout 3 for fable 2?
Well my advise is to see wether the Fallout gets any better because if you do that and you still don't like it you can trade it in. Otherwise it would be up to you but personally I don't know what any of the games are about...
Fable 2 is a very easy game, but a lot of people have encountered bugs.
It's also a very short game, being some 7-10 hours to complete the main quest.
