well gears of war is the same. shoot shoot and shoot. you have no options other than that. Fallout 3 you can kill people in many different ways, use the vats system, explore any part of the world u like, loot clothes or buy them from people to put on, custimize your own character. That's why they call it a snadbox game, because you can do whatever you please to do. You can choose many skills, and do things the good way, evil way, and nuetreal, and there are 500 endings, so it has massive replay value, then again gears of war two is shoot shoot shoot and the same all over. What should i get fallout 3 or gears of war 2?
If you like shooters, definitely gears 2 and/or COD5. If you like RPGs get Fallout 3. If you want a more actiony game, definitely get Gears of War 2 but all of these games are gonna be great. By the war, Gears of War 2 isn't just shoot, shoot, shoot. You have to be smart about you decisions, where to take cover, what weapon will fit the current situation, how to flank the enemy any many, many more. Plus you can take enemies hostage and use them for cover, how awesome is that? Not to mention crawling towards your teammates for help. Gears of War 2 creates some many memorable, fun, and funny moments that can't be done in any other game. But what really matters is what game you want the most judging by the videos and possibly the reviews.
I would recommend only getting Fallout 3 for the PC as it will basically be like Oblivion (same developer). This means that there are many more features (such as modding) that come for free (and in many cases cheaper) with the PC version. If you don't have a good enough PC for fallout 3 then get GOW2 on Xbox. But FO3 should be the better game.What should i get fallout 3 or gears of war 2?
I've played fallout 1 and 2 and I've been a fan since 1998, trust me fallout will make you fall in love, the engine is sweet and the games unique non linier game play and dark humor as well the as the massive replayabillity of it will entertain you for over 100 hours easy. the map is as big as oblivion and you can do ANYTHING YOU WANT kill anyone, rob them, bribe them, trick them, drug them, put expolives on them. fallout will be well worth you money it's game of the year matierel for sure. actually everytime a fallout game comes out, instant game of the year, combine elder scrolls(oblivion) and fallout, garuenteed win.
Gears looks like every other shooter (to me at least)

depends on what you like. im getting fallout 3 because i like to customize my own guy to play the way i like (stealth or whatever u want) plus i was far too young to play the earlier ones but ive heard they have a fair amount of humor in them and i also enjoy that.
In my opinion, Fallout 3 looks way more amazing. You could just get both though...

fallout 3 its going to be the best and funnest and greatest game is the entire world and its going to be revoulotionary!!!!!!!!!
If you like first person shooter then I would recommend call of duty 5 but if you like 3rd person shooters better than gears of war 2 is the way to go.
I'm personally going to get all three
